Teresa Hong to Expand Sales and Service in the Asia-Pacific Region

Melbourne’s Teresa Hong joins YellowScan’s Asia Pacific team, covering Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, South-East Asia and the rest of Asia-Pacific Region, building on the creation of YellowScan Japan, where YellowScan already operates its office managed by Shinji Inaba.

Teresa Hong is a highly experienced geospatial expert, with extensive technical sales and business development skills in multicultural environments in the Asia-Pacific region. A math and physics buff, she says, “I’ve never seen a math problem I didn’t like.” She brings to the table 18 years of combined experience in photogrammetric technical support, remote sensing and accompanied project execution in international sales and project-based services for the civilian, government, military and education sectors.

She has held positions with Trimble, Leica Geosystems and BAE Systems, working in the areas of unmanned aircraft systems (UASs), land mobile mapping systems, airborne LiDAR systems, aerial camera systems, and several geospatial software applications. In particular, her work with the defense contractor BAE Systems included acquiring and analyzing video and image data from UASs for geospatial analysis and intelligence reporting.

Beyond her professional career, Teresa is a world traveler and avid nature enthusiast and hiker who enjoys playing badminton with friends. She can be found hiking in Australia’s National Parks, and has completed such Victorian hikes as Wilson’s Promontory. Teresa has dedicated her adventures to experiencing new places, trying new things and pushing personal boundaries.

“I look forward to expanding YellowScan’s reach into the LiDAR for UAV market in the APAC region,” she says. “This is an exciting project for me, with plenty of room to grow YellowScan’s state-of-the-art LiDAR profile within the APAC market. I also look forward to finding experienced and aggressive APAC channel partners. Please feel free to contact me if you believe you are a suitable candidate, and keen to represent YellowScan LiDAR products in your home country.”

Pierre d’Hauteville, Principal and Head of Business Development at YellowScan, says, “I am delighted to welcome Teresa Hong to the team. I’m convinced that her experience and enthusiastic personality, combined with her customer satisfaction focus, will fly YellowScan’s flag in the region and bring a lot of value to YellowScan current and future users.”

Teresa hits the ground running in March 2020.
